You will find them on the ground in the encampment located at approximately 57, 57. Open the power converter, use your item on it, then kill it. See screenshots for a visual.

When you click the Electroelemental, don't use the quest item on it immediately. Their damage goes up quite a bit once encased in the bubble. Instead, take them down to 50% health, THEN use the quest item.

Much easier and quicker that way.

As a warrior, i did pummel to silence them temporarily. Just notice that they start to run away when doing that, so a hamstring is handy too.

Not related to the quest at all, but this is a reference to Star Wars: A New Hope. Luke Skywalker's uncle asks him to clean the droids he just bought, and Luke's whiney protest was: "But I was headed to Toshley's station to pick up some power converters!"

The power converters are scattered all over the ogre camp. Here are the ones I found:

Note : Do not pummel or interupt their spellcast. They run around and you risk aggro'ing lots of ogres and dieing like i did.

If you've done the 5 man group quests to become king of the ogres or whatever for ogri'la they become neutral and this quest is cake, I originally skipped it when I was in blades edge and came back for the gold.

Everything above is correct and as a 67 warrior I found it easier to use a concussion blow to temporary silence them and they will not run; then just DPS them down to about 10% of life and use the quest item and finish them off.

Little information for anyone having trouble with this quest. If you have the Collector on your action bar, right-clicking the item will yield an "Invalid Target" error, but left-clicking it will work just fine and encase the Electromental.

Easily soloable as a level 68 Shadow Priest while encasing them at 100% health. :-)

somthing was really wrong when I was gonna do the quest.. when I used item on the spawning mob it only sayd u got no target, I had to log out and log inn then I could use the quest item I was about to abondon quest ;)

Just remember, don't wait for thing to hit you several times and then kite you away. Pummel works to interrupt it's attack, and belive it or not you can hamstring it to keep it from running fast. Then just keep hitting it. It too me about 6 minutes to do all five, including killing 2 or 3 ogres that were skulking about.

As a warrior this is a horrible quest.. they do a constant attack at 1.5 speed that hits low but they dont die too quick themselves. all in all I didnt like it.

I agree, the west side of the camp is best. I had started working the east side, had to kill 4 ogres just to get 2 converters with no more in sight. so I decided to go around the other way. On the west side I picked up two near one ogre, and the last was all by itself, not even near where an ogre might be (and away from the road enough that I didn't draw aggro). Two more were in sight as I left.

Oh... another reason to stay away from the east side: Maggoc! Found that out the hard way. LOL

Don't Interrupt the casting, take the whopping 200 damage and focus your rage on DPS. Don't use the item until they are low in health ( imanaged 10%) and as a war i merely executed afterwards.

Just a bit north of Toshley's station is a small camp or Bladespire Ogre's. They are single pulls, and most are standing next to a small power converter. Kill the ogre, then click the converter. A small annoying electromental pops up and starts casting lightning at you repeatedly. Get it to 20% or so and use your device from the gnome on it. Then kill.

Will take you 10mins and leads to "Ride the Lightning" linked above.

Work the western edge of the camp, along the cliffs, there's plenty of room to operate safely back there. (Between 56,58 and 56,55.) Clear any wandering ogres, get your health to full, and activate a converter. The electromental will stay put as long as you don't interrupt it's casting, so don't do so...it's way easier to take it's low damage lightning attack than it is to chase it around. Just pour on the dps. As others have said here, wait until it's at 20% health or so before you activate the collector, as this ups the electromental's damage. Deathblow, turn in, xp. Actually quite easy if done properly.

You better drop the electromental to 20 % or so before using the item on them....cause once u did, they do twice the dmg they do normally. GL!

Hi, I dont have the Protovoltaic Magnetocollector? And Toshley doesnt give me the quest... So I am stuck.. Any idea how i can get teh Collector?

Tip for a rogue, or any class who can stun, hit the electromentals 'til they're low on life, then use the sphere, and then kill it.
Saves a lot of damage!

How to do Picking Up Some Power Converters:

accept the quest /way 60,6, 69,0
go to Bladespire Outpost around /way 58,2, 59,1
interact with Power Converter
use Protovoltaic Magneto Collector on the mob that will appear
kill the mob
do it until complete the quest
return the quest

Is there any reason to keep the power converter in your inventory once you have completed the quest? repeatable maybe?

Toshley has asked you to take the Protovoltaic Magneto Collector and gather up 5 Electromentals. Return to him at Toshley's Station in the Blade's Edge Mountains after you have done so.

Descrizione

Those dumb ogres at the Bladespire Outpost to the north have been raiding our power converters! And you're going to get them back for me, sort of.

No doubt, with their big, clumsy hands, the ogres have damaged the converters. So, what I want you to do is release the energy from them and then use this protovoltaic magneto collector on the resultant electromental to encase it.

It'll likely be sore with you, so you'll need to 'kill' it while it's contained in the magneto sphere.
