A quick fact.

The paper and ribbon colors on this scroll are equal to the ones of the town portal item in Diablo 2. So this Scroll of Recall is the true reference to the famous scroll in Diablo 2 ^^

I am curious if anyone has worked out the exact mechanics of the Scrolls of Recall, yet. I was at the inscription trainer in Darnassus and created a Scroll of Recall II but when I looked at it, it was for Gadgetzan which is where my hearthstone was last set. I went across to the inn and reset my HS to Traders Terrace Darnassus and created another scroll figuring I could use the first to get back to Gadgetzan. When I looked at them they were stacked and the tooltip said they were set to Darnassus.

Apparently you can only have one destination set on all of your scrolls. Is this the intended mechanic or is it a bug?

So all it is then is a 20 minute CD duplicate hearthstone. This seems to make the lower level scrolls as, or even more, useful then the level appropriate ones since they at least take you someplace new and exciting and perhaps closer to where you want to go. Since my scribe is a priest, I keep my finger over the Levitate button in case I end up falling into the Swamp of Sorrows, a fate several posters have described.

I used one of these as a level 72 alliance warlock and ended up "lost" on the ramp to Aerie Peak in the Hinterlands.

I used one at level 71 and landed in the Lion's Pride Inn in Elwynn Forest.

So far ported me to Gadgetzan (inside the big cage in the middle of the city), and Aerie Peak in Hinterlands (probably Alliance only).

Out of the times I've used them: you need to be wary of long drops and falls with the 'Lost' debuff. So if you have a parachute cloak, can bubble, levitate, slowfall, Nogenfogger - be quick on the click.

So far my destinations of greatness have been:
-High over the lake in Swamp Of Sorrows
-Stuck on a barn roof in Tarren Mill
-In front of Karazhan
-In the middle of Feralas

From what I've seen-Tarren Mill seems to be the most popular destination.

Ended up infront of the bat handler in Tarren Mill.
Got sent to the shore above murlocs in swamp of sorrows and fell so far I died.... wasn't pleased.

With a Rank 1 scroll as Horde, I've gotten:

Gadgetzan Cage
Cannon Rampart south of Booty Bay
Undercity Courtyard
Thunder Bluff, Central Rise
Crossroads, The Barrens

I like these scrolls because whenever I get bored, I simply use it and find fun wherever I go.

Somehow I managed to land in the middle of the forest in Darkshore. I was scared yet I was cracking up at the same time. I also managed to get the Cage in the middle of Gadgetzan, one thing for sure is I <3 this thing.

*edit* Managed to get the big tower where Jaina is at in the middle of Theramore Isle =O.

At level 80 Horde side this ported me to Stonard :|

*edit* Ok, just used this thing again while in Gadgetzan and it ported me to the Swamp of Sorrows. Except I was like 200feet in the air and I died >:(. Also i was like 20feet away from the sea...

Iv found that if you close your eyes and wish hard enough while using this, you can almost choose where you want to go. I personally use this as an easy way to get to a main horde city since most of the locations are quite near to a main city (if not in them).
